Rihanna Is Back!

She’s back! Rihanna has made her highly anticipated return to music with song ‘Lift Me Up’ featured in the upcoming film ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’.

It’s been almost seven years since the release of her last studio album Anti, though she was featured on PartyNextDoor’s single ‘Believe It’ in 2020.

Rihanna, Nigerian singer-songwriter Tems, director Ryan Coogler, and Swedish composer Ludwig Göransson, collaboratively wrote the song.

The single is described as “emotional” and fans say it seems to set the tone for what they except to be a sentimental film paying tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman. Boseman died from colon caner in 2020.

In the chorus, Rihanna sings “Lift me up/Hold me down/Keep me close/Safe and sound”

Though it is unclear when we will get more music from Rihanna, fans can look forward to her halftime performance at the 2023 Super Bowl.
